Long Haul takes its inspiration from long Texas drives with my parents growing up. It seemed like driving 2-3 hours to visit a relative was very normal. As a kid, I grew up with movies like Smokey and the Bandit and the 1978 trucker movie Convoy which served as inspiration here. I gave each of the four vehicles in this season names and did some sarcastic takes on gas station and roadside restaurant logos which was inspired by the Very Small Records logo. I ended up making die-cut sticker packs for this season. I wanted to make them packaged like you would get them in a gas station convenience store. Music is by New Brutalism.
